AK -- Teresa, there's a program called Dia that's available for free from www.sourceforge.net that allows you to draw flow charts and other diagrams if you want to download it and give it a shot. Otherwise, if you'd like to come to the BOCES office before the meeting we can scan/ copy your flow chart. Or you could take a digital picture of your hand-drawn masterpiece and I can recreate it. And I really like your idea of presenting the forms according to expertise for clarity. If we could speak to how these forms will work with what's happening with Encore, too, I think most people's questions will be answered.
I'm still working away on the forms... but please let me know if you want the PWN changed. I planned on burning the CDs of BOCES-only forms today, and the PWN was included on that. If you don't want it on the CD and would like it on the website instead, I need to know today if possible.
Do you want to see all that I've done? Should I post the forms up here for you to look at?
Will you include your written explanation of forms use?
Do you have a slinky dress I could borrow? I've got the clapping and turning thing down, and the c.f.m. pumps, but the dress is at the cleaners (a wild New Years Eve got all sorts of things on it)...
TQ here. I'm wondering if it makes sense to organize the forms/ presentation by our areas knowledge....Jennifer can talk about the the IEP and what forms are going to be used where. I think that is an area of some confusion and concern.
It probably makes sense for me to go over eligibility stuff. I think that to forestall any misdirected resistance, it might make sense to have a way to present the current process and then what we added (which is really 3 forms). Also I made a flow chart that kind of walks through the process.....I don't have the ability to do it on computer, so it is hand drawn, but maybe we can scan it and have it to present. The reality is that most of the BOCES people don't need to worry about either the process or the forms, it needs to be the psychs and speech folks primarily. I really don't want to stress folks out. For the PWN that we want teachers to do for IEPs.....do we want the BOCES
Will we have an opportunity to break out in smaller groups?
logo on it or do we make a more generic form that they use?
I think Abby should dress up like Vanna White.
Seeya...Teresa
